About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Refrigeration Specialist to join our Amazon Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert support and guidance to drive safety, performance, and maintenance of refrigeration systems across a portfolio of sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Remote Monitoring: Utilize advanced monitoring tools and software platforms to remotely monitor the performance and operational parameters of industrial refrigeration systems across multiple sites.
  • Monitoring: Key metrics such as temperature, pressure, energy consumption, and system alarms to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Alarm Management: Respond promptly to system alarms and alerts, investigating the root cause of any deviations from normal operating conditions.
  • Coordination: Coordinate with on-site RME teams to address alarms and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and maintain system integrity.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze data collected from monitoring systems to identify trends, anomalies, and potential issues with refrigeration system performance. Generate reports and provide insights to support decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintenance Coordination: Work closely with the Scheduler and on-site RME personnel to schedule preventive maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs for industrial refrigeration systems.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Utilize APM and maintain accurate records of system performance, maintenance activities, F-Gas logs, and troubleshooting efforts.
  • Maintenance Optimisation: Collaborate with field RME teams to develop and implement best practices for preventive and predictive maintenance of refrigeration systems.
  • Technical Support: Serve as a technical resource for the team's escalation specialists, providing guidance on troubleshooting complex issues, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Work with the wider GRT teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the reliability, efficiency, and sustainability of refrigeration systems across the portfolio of sites.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with regulatory requirements and safety standards.

Requirements

  • Significant experience in industrial refrigeration systems, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong knowledge of refrigeration principles, equipment, and components.
  • Familiarity with remote monitoring tools and systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Commitment to safety and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Refrigeration Engineering, or related field, or an Apprenticeship in Refrigeration or similar.
  • Food Safety Qualifications.
