Construction Vendor Manager

At Engineeringuk, we are seeking a highly skilled Construction Vendor Manager to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for managing our vendor relationships and ensuring that our construction projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain vendor strategies to ensure optimal performance and value delivery
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to meet business objectives
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks associated with vendor performance
- Develop and implement metrics to measure vendor performance and identify areas for improvement
- Provide regular reporting and analysis to stakeholders on vendor performance and progress
- University degree in civil engineering, architecture, or a related field
- Proven experience in construction project management or contracts management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with vendors and stakeholders
- Proficiency in Excel and other software tools to deliver vendor metrics and conduct data-driven analysis
- Cross-functional experience in procurement, planning, cost control, contracts, or project management
- Excellent knowledge of Excel, macros, database work, and other software tools
- Experience in contract management, including FIDIC, NEC, JTC, and other contract types
- Language skills in German, French, Polish, Arabic, Turkish, Afrikaans, or Zulu
