Job Title: Cloud-Edge Project And Management

Join the Barcelona Supercomputing Center as a Postdoctoral Researcher in Cloud Computing and contribute to the CloudSkin EU-HORIZON project.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Researcher to work on Containerization and Orchestration of workloads in the Data-Centric Computing group. The successful candidate will manage the day-by-day of the WPs and tasks in which BSC is committed as a project partner, help and supervise PhD students, contribute to collaborations with different international research partners, and give mutual support to other researchers in the project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work on Containerization and Orchestration of workloads.

Requirements
  • PhD in Computer Sciences or related fields.
Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience
  • Experience with resource and energy orchestration in Cloud systems and datacenters.
  • Experience in scientific dissemination and publications.
  • Experience with public and/or private research projects.
Additional Knowledge and Professional Experience
  • Understanding of high performance computing and distributed system concepts.
  • Good English communication skills.
Competences
  • Ability to work independently and in the context of a team/project.
  • Flexible work schedule.

The position will be located at BSC within the Computer Sciences Department.
