Overview and Objectives
Join the Data-Centric Computing group as a researcher and project manager for the CloudSkin EU-HORIZON initiative.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Engage in the containerization and orchestration of computational workloads.
  • Oversee daily operations of work packages and tasks assigned to the organization as a project collaborator.
  • Mentor and guide PhD candidates.
  • Foster collaborations with various international research entities.
  • Provide reciprocal support to fellow researchers involved in the project.
Qualifications
  • Educational Background
    • Possess a PhD in Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • Required Skills and Experience
    • Proficient in resource and energy orchestration within cloud infrastructures and data centers.
    • Demonstrated experience in scientific communication and publication.
    • Background in public and/or private research initiatives.
  • Preferred Skills and Experience
    • Familiarity with high-performance computing and distributed systems.
    • Strong proficiency in English communication.
  • Competencies
    • Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team/project framework.
    • Adaptable work schedule.

Employment Conditions
  • The role is based within the Computer Sciences Department.
