About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Counselor to join our team at IE University's Vice-Rectorate for Academic Affairs. As a key member of our academic support team, you will play a vital role in promoting the mental health and well-being of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-on-one counseling sessions to students seeking emotional support and advice.
  • Design and implement sustainable initiatives, such as workshops and programs, to educate the university community on mental health topics.
  • Assist in creating content for the department's website and social media channels related to mental health and well-being.
  • Support the team with ongoing projects and day-to-day administrative tasks.
  • Develop a deep understanding of our students' personal, social, and academic journeys at IE University.
Requirements
  • A master's degree in Psychology, Life Coaching, or a related field.
  • Professional fluency in English and Spanish (spoken and written).
  • A minimum of three years of experience in mental health with a client-centered approach.
  • Ability to work with students in distress through psychological first aid and follow proper protocol.
  • Well-developed sensitivity and intuitive response to mental health difficulties and diversity.
  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality.
  • Self-driven with excellent teamwork, project management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Availability to commute to and from our campuses in Madrid and Segovia on a weekly basis.
