Job Summary
Wright Tree Service is seeking a skilled Groundworker to join our team. As a Groundworker, you will be responsible for performing various tasks related to tree care and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate chainsaws and other equipment to cut and remove branches and trees.
- Load and unload trucks with logs, stumps, and debris.
- Feed brush into a wood chipper and gather brush for disposal.
- Work around hazardous equipment and follow safety protocols.
- Communicate with crew members and customers to ensure safe and efficient work practices.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Ability to enter and exit a vehicle numerous times per day.
- Ability to withstand exposure to various weather conditions.
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend written and verbal job instructions.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others.
- Ability to lift, move, and maneuver up to 50 pounds on an infrequent basis.
- Valid driver's license and ability to pass a pre-employment drug test.
- Herbicide applicator or operator certification and license as required by Wright Tree Service and local, state, and federal law.
- Valid First-Aid and CPR cards.
Working Conditions
Work will be performed in a fast-paced outdoor environment with exposure to various weather conditions. Must be able to work long hours and overtime during emergencies.
