Job Summary:

Wright Tree Service is seeking a skilled Groundworker to join our team. As a Groundworker, you will be responsible for performing various tasks related to tree care and maintenance, including cutting brush, loading and unloading trucks, and operating equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate chainsaws and other equipment to cut and trim trees and brush
  • Load and unload trucks with logs, stumps, and debris
  • Feed brush into a wood chipper and gather debris
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with hazardous equipment and weather conditions
  • Enforce on-the-job safety practices and safeguard employees and the public
  • Apply herbicides and growth regulators to stumps and brush
  • Drive a truck with an attached brush chipper or other trailing unit
  • Perform other related duties as required

Requirements:

  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and work in a variety of weather conditions
  • Ability to lift, move, and maneuver up to 50 pounds on an infrequent basis and up to 30 pounds on a frequent basis
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Herbicide applicator or operator certification and license as required by Wright Tree Service and local, state, and federal law
  • First-Aid and CPR certification
