Arborist Technician

Job Summary
Wright Tree Service is seeking a highly skilled and physically fit individual to join our team as a Groundworker. As a Groundworker, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including operating chainsaws, brush chippers, and other equipment to maintain and trim trees and clear brush. You will work in a fast-paced outdoor environment, often in challenging weather conditions, and must be able to lift, move, and maneuver heavy objects.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate chainsaws and brush chippers to cut and chip brush, logs, and stumps of larger trees.
• Load and unload trucks with logs, stumps, brush, and debris, and/or feed brush into a wood chipper.
• Work around hazardous equipment and follow safety protocols to ensure a safe work environment.
• Develop and maintain a high level of physical fitness to perform the demands of the job.
• Work in a team environment to achieve goals and objectives.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass a pre-employment drug test.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced outdoor environment and lift, move, and maneuver heavy objects.
• Ability to work at heights and in challenging weather conditions.
• Ability to work in a team environment and follow safety protocols.
