Job Summary

Wright Tree Service is seeking a skilled Groundworker to join our team. As a Groundworker, you will be responsible for performing various tasks related to tree care and forestry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate chainsaws and other equipment to cut and remove branches and trees.
  • Load and unload trucks with logs, stumps, and debris.
  • Feed brush into a wood chipper and gather debris.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with hazardous equipment and extreme weather conditions.
  • Enforce on-the-job safety practices and safeguard employees and the public.
  • Apply herbicides and growth regulators to stumps and brush.
  • Drive a truck with an attached brush chipper or other trailing unit.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and withstand exposure to extreme weather conditions.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass a pre-employment drug test.
  • Herbicide applicator or operator certification and license as required by Wright Tree Service and local, state, and federal law.
  • First-Aid and CPR certification.
  • Ability to lift, move, and maneuver up to 50 pounds on an infrequent basis and up to 30 pounds on a frequent basis.
  • Ability to work long hours and overtime during emergencies.
