Job Description:

As a Renewable Energy Project Developer at Ferrovial Agroman SA, you will be responsible for managing the origination and development of renewable energy projects, including onshore and offshore wind, solar PV, and energy storage projects. You will work closely with our team to identify optimal locations for project development, negotiate land rights, and lead the permitting process to ensure timely and budget-friendly project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Origination: Identify and evaluate potential project locations, considering factors such as environmental impact, social acceptance, and economic viability.
  • Land Acquisition: Negotiate and secure land rights with landowners, ensuring smooth project development.
  • Permitting and Licensing: Lead the permitting process, ensuring all necessary permits, licenses, and authorizations are obtained in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Grid Access and Interconnection: Obtain grid access and interconnection rights, considering designs that minimize environmental and social impact, while meeting technical requirements.
  • Project Feasibility: Evaluate project feasibility from an investment and financing perspective, including the definition of energy sales models and other attributes.
  • Stakeholder Management: Establish and maintain relationships with local, regional, and national administrations, as well as other entities and agencies, to expedite permit processing and licensing.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with our construction and business teams to ensure seamless project execution and provide technical expertise as needed.

Requirements:

  • Education: Engineering degree associated with electrical power systems and/or electrical engineering.
  • Experience: Proven track record and experience in a similar role for more than 3 years.
  • Skills: Strong communication and collaborative skills, strategic vision, ability to push projects forward, and commercial acumen.
  • Language: English intermediate level (B2) is required.
