Senior 3D Character Artist Position Overview
Zynga is seeking a highly skilled Senior 3D Character Artist to join our dynamic team. As a Senior 3D Artist, you will be responsible for creating high-quality 3D assets efficiently and effectively.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop high-quality 3D character art with a strong focus on detail and realism.
- Collaborate with designers and the Art Director to interpret specifications and direction.
- Identify areas for improvement within the creative process and implement changes.
- Accurately estimate art request costs.
- Contribute to maintaining and refining the Art Director's vision.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and communicate them to the team.
- Participate in formal and informal critiques, providing constructive feedback to fellow artists.
- Effectively communicate project progress to the North American team.
Desired Skills and Experience
- 5+ years of professional video game experience.
- Strong understanding of the 3D character pipeline, including high-poly modeling, low-poly modeling, UV unwrapping, texture baking, and substance painting.
- Excellent artistic fundamentals, including character design, color theory, lighting, shape, and form.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
- Battle Royale, Moba, or Shooter experience is a plus.
