Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Field Service Manager to lead our international team of Service Engineers and Supervisors. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for delivering, installing, maintaining, and repairing a range of high-tech systems, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and Implement Service Strategies: Create and execute plans to support customers in the region, achieving high levels of customer allegiance and satisfaction.
  2. Lead and Motivate the Team: Build, lead, and sustain a motivated team of Field Service Engineers and Supervisors, assigned to support different service areas and product lines.
  3. Drive Operational and Business Performance: Maintain professional service support and processes, driving operational and business performance measures, and leading regional P&L in line with plan/budgetary requirements.
  4. Partner with Commercial Teams: Collaborate with commercial teams to deliver customer deals that meet/exceed customer expectations and are implemented profitably.
  5. Critical Issues Management: Effectively manage critical issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimizing impact on customers.
  6. Represent the Company: Represent Thermo Fisher Scientific in a positive, professional manner in all encounters with customers, both externally and internally.
  7. Drive Quality and Continuous Improvement: Drive high-quality and continuous improvement using our Practical Process Improvement Business System.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor or advanced degree in business, marketing, mathematics, or sciences.
  • Experience: 10+ years of experience, with at least 3+ years in a management role, and thorough understanding and extensive experience in working with diverse service providers.
  • Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills in German and English, good people leadership skills, team orientation, and professional attitude, ability to energize the team to accomplish goals, and comprehensive computer skills.
