Job Summary:

The Culinary Expert, Pastry is a key member of the Csc Generation team, responsible for delivering exceptional cooking classes and providing culinary expertise to customers. This role requires a unique blend of culinary talent, teaching skills, and business acumen.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Model and direct employees to ensure exceptional customer service standards are met.
  • Deliver engaging cooking classes, utilizing provided recipes and game plans to create a memorable experience for customers.
  • Maintain in-depth product knowledge and seek out additional resources to stay up-to-date on industry trends.
  • Ensure high standards of sanitation and cleanliness are maintained throughout the cooking experience.
  • Work collaboratively with the Resident Chef to achieve store sales plans and individual sales goals.
  • Provide coaching and performance feedback to Kitchen Assistants, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Identify opportunities to increase cooking class and retail sales, driving business growth and revenue.
  • Record time worked accurately, adhering to Csc Generation's time-keeping policies.
  • Anticipate and resolve problems, seeking guidance from the Resident Chef as needed.
  • Demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication skills, effectively interacting with employees, customers, and corporate office personnel.
  • May be required to handle, serve, and pour liquor, wine, and beer, or mix ingredients to prepare cocktails and other drinks.

Essential Functions:

  • Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with employees and customers.
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position for up to 3 hours at a time.
  • Ability to move about the workplace, coaching and directing employees and/or class participants, or while selling to customers.
  • Ability to distinguish differences or similarities in intensity or quality of flavors or odors.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, such as grabbing, reaching, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching, to demonstrate, retrieve, and/or replenish merchandise and/or cooking equipment.
