Clean Energy Infra Debt Asset Portfolio Manager

About the Role

Nuveen, the investment management arm of TIAA, is seeking a highly skilled Asset Controller to join its Clean Energy Infra team. As a global asset manager, Nuveen works in partnership with clients to create outcome-focused solutions to help them secure their financial future.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and manage risk across the portfolio, including financial risk assessments, financial model updates, and sensitivity analysis.
  • Oversee regular reporting from securitisation vehicles and servicers, and assess the performance of the asset and underlying loan portfolios.
  • Provide oversight and direction on legal matters, including default recovery.
  • Coordinate cash management to protect value and generate maximum long-term returns for investors.
  • Develop and manage asset operating models.
  • Manage regular deliverables to internal stakeholders, including asset reporting packs, financial return projections, risk assessments, and other ad-hoc deliverables.
  • Coordinate with delegated financial and commercial representatives, including external servicers, legal counsel, and administrators.
  • Support fund management activities, including cash flow forecasting, quarterly and annual investor reporting, and investor queries.
  • Review and develop governance and risk management frameworks for portfolio management.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in financial services or risk management.
  • Experience in portfolio management, asset backed securities, structured finance, or credit funds.
  • Experience in investment or portfolio risk management, project finance documentation, and interaction is desirable.
  • Financial control experience in fund management or corporate is desirable.
  • Relevant experience or interest in the power industry or sustainability is desirable.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English, with additional European languages desirable.
  • Candidates must have the right to work in the UK or Spain-EU-27.
  • A strong academic background and relevant certifications, such as CIMA, ACA, ACCA, or CFA, are desirable.
