Job Title: Satellite Communications Operator

We are seeking a highly skilled Satellite Communications Operator to join our operations team at the GOVSATCOM Hub system.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for executing operations for receiving service requests from users and consolidating services with satellite operators. They will also monitor the status of communication services, take actions according to procedures, and contribute to the generation of related reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Executing operations for receiving service requests from users and consolidating services with satellite operators.
  • Monitoring the status of communication services and taking actions according to procedures.
  • Contributing to the generation of related reports.
  • Generating operational procedures in coordination with the GOVSATCOM Hub system development team.
  • Providing feedback on issues and improvements to the GOVSATCOM Hub system to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Participating in training sessions as the system evolves.

Requirements:

  • Telecommunications technicians (Advanced Vocational Training in Telecommunications and Computer Systems or equivalent).
  • Knowledge or experience with satellite communication equipment and related systems.
  • Good level of spoken and written English.
  • Used to work in a procedure-driven environment.
