Energy Sales Representative

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Energy Sales Representative to join our team at Graybar. As an Energy Sales Representative, you will be responsible for growing our business with existing customers and developing new business opportunities in the energy market segment.
Main Responsibilities:
- Work closely with our Energy team to identify and pursue new business opportunities in the solar, battery storage, and electric vehicle charging markets.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to increase sales and revenue.
- Attend industry events and conferences to stay up-to-date on market trends and network with key industry personnel.
- Handle customer inquiries and provide technical support to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Prepare and present project quotations and customer bids to secure new business.
- Enter opportunities, leads, and contact information into our CRM system.
- Handle written correspondence with customers in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist and support our Account Managers by providing technical support to customers and end users.
- Continuously work with customers post-sale to resolve problems and provide support in an efficient and effective manner.
- Provide regular feedback to our Energy & Sustainability Sales Manager on customer interactions and market trends.
- Participate in training sessions, trade shows, branch meetings, and sales meetings as requested.
- Stay informed of local competition and market conditions, and recommend new products for stock.
- Deal with product-related issues such as returns, defects, and warranty claims.
- Research and cold call customers as directed.
Requirements:
- Three years of relevant sales or industry experience.
- Experience in design or engineering of solar projects is an asset.
- Passion for sales and a drive to actively seek out new business.
- Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong relationship-building skills to cultivate and develop customer loyalty.
- Ability to work with all levels of employees and management, both internally and externally.
- Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
- Proven proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Skills:
Understanding of energy technologies is an asset.Passionate about emerging electrical technologies with a desire for continued learning.Broad knowledge of industry products and services, with the ability to effectively present these to our customers and staff.Must demonstrate honesty and integrity.What We Offer:
