About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Operating Room Attendant to join our team at 100 Lcmc Health. As a key member of our operating room team, you will play a critical role in ensuring a safe and comfortable surgical experience for every patient.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transport patients to and from surgery, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
  • Ensure all movable equipment is safely stored and supplies are removed from hallways and stored in respective spaces.
  • Report nonfunctional or broken equipment to management and assist in maintaining adequate inventory levels.
  • Identify specific patients accurately and ready patients for transport to surgery, using appropriate cleaning solutions after each use of equipment.
  • Assist the operating team with turnover between cases and interact with patients, families, visitors, and fellow employees to ensure a professional and courteous environment.
  • Attend all required safety training programs and maintain responsibilities related to general safety, department or service safety, and specific job-related hazards.
  • Perform duties using standard precautions and OSHA guidelines.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience in a related field with six months to one year of experience in a clinical or hospital setting.
  • American Heart Association BLS certification.

Work Environment

This is a day shift position at our United States of America location.
