About the Role

Surgical Technologists play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of patients undergoing surgical procedures. As a Surgical Technologist - Labor & Delivery Specialist at 100 Lcmc Health, you will be responsible for maintaining a sterile environment, preparing the operating room, and assisting the surgeon with retracting tissue and holding instrumentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the circulating nurse with patient positioning, confirmation, and preparation of the operative site
  • Establish and maintain an organized sterile field
  • Prepare the operating room with sterile supplies, instruments, and sutures
  • Follow policies for scrubbing, gowning, gloving, draping, and counting with the circulating nurse
  • Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and assist with retracting tissue, holding instrumentation, and cutting suture
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program
  • Current BLS certification
  • Preferred: Surgical Technician certification and previous experience as a surgical technologist
