Position Overview

The Clinical Sales Specialist for Acute Care Diagnostics plays a pivotal role in our sales team, blending technical expertise with sales acumen.

Role Summary

This position encompasses both sales and technical duties, focusing on the promotion and sale of our advanced diagnostic products and solutions. The specialist will ensure optimal performance of our instrumentation, manage reagent inventories, and oversee IT solutions.

The Clinical Sales Specialist will adapt our offerings to meet the evolving needs of our clients, fostering trust and delivering value to both customers and the organization over time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet and exceed sales targets set by the organization.
  • Provide application support to clients.
  • Advise on laboratory organization improvements through technical insights and solutions.
  • Facilitate cross-selling opportunities by sharing product knowledge and tailored techniques.
  • Present products and concepts to various stakeholders, including institutions and clinical groups.
  • Build a network of trust within the organization and coordinate field visits with colleagues.
  • Organize instrument installations by collaborating with multiple departments (Logistics, Technical Service, Marketing, etc.) and conduct product demonstrations.
  • Maintain user training levels for analyzers and reagents while managing necessary documentation.
  • Collaborate with Key Account Managers and Business Units to manage opportunities and risks effectively.
  • Monitor service levels across departments to minimize complaint risks.
  • Provide troubleshooting support for technical inquiries.
  • Address product incidents in coordination with HelpLine, Technical Service, and Product Managers.
  • Manage tenders, including specifications, profitability analysis, and documentation preparation.
  • Deliver first-level technical support to customer accounts regarding products and operations, assisting with system integration in laboratories.
  • Ensure compliance with the Ethical Code.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences or a related field.

Experience:

  • Experience in the IVD industry is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Blood Gas analysis is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Hemostasis or experience in ICU or Operating Room settings is a plus.
  • Experience with viscoelastic testing devices (Rotem or TEG) is considered an asset.
  • Experience in Cardiovascular Operating Rooms or significant responsibilities in bleeding and massive transfusions is also a plus.
