Credit and Collections Specialist

At Danaher, we're committed to accelerating the discovery, development, and delivery of solutions that safeguard and improve human health. As a Credit and Collections Specialist, you'll play a vital role in our EMEA Financial Shared Service Centre, working closely with our team in Bologna, Italy.
Key Responsibilities:- Monitor accounts in the assigned collection portfolio and ensure timely payments are made, with a focus on meeting monthly targets such as Cash Received, DSO, Dispute resolution, and Bad Debts.
- Log all relevant data in the Credit Management tool Trust-It and perform daily actions.
- Make proactive phone calls to customers and internal stakeholders to gather feedback and improve the collections process.
- Collaborate with other collection areas and maintain cross-functional communication with multiple teams.
- Reduce and improve order backlogs, and be a proactive player in improving Working Capital.
- Communicate work results to the Manager Credit & Collections using fact-based data.
- Provide backup support for the Manager Credit & Collections, including cash reporting, credit note approvals, and data uploads to PowerBi/Invoices in Trustit.
- Finance or Business-related secondary vocational education, plus 5 years of experience in Credit & Collections in academia, government, and blue-chip organizations across multiple countries.
- A track record of achieving DSO improvements and hitting cash collection targets.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to act consistently and compliantly under pressure.
