Country Financial Controller

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Country Financial Controller to join our team at Carrier. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for developing, directing, planning, and evaluating accounting activities to ensure they are in alignment with US GAAP and Corporate policies with a clear focus on external reporting and statutory compliance matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and own control reporting activities in accordance with US GAAP, local GAAP, and Carrier policies for all country requirements
- Own the actuals reporting, financial statement analysis and reporting for country activities
- Support Business Unit Controllership Leaders with key initiatives and BU focus items, as needed
- Own the full control environment for SOX reportable entities
- Ability to communicate and influence key Business Partners, Controllers, Finance Leads and external parties
- Oversee, identify, communicate, and resolve financial and internal control matters
- Provide key support to Global Tax, internal and external auditors, and external service providers
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 to 7 years of professional experience in a finance or accounting role, demonstrating a robust understanding of financial management, reporting, and compliance.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken
- Proficiency in Polish or Spanish is advantageous and considered a plus
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team, fostering collaboration and support within the department and across the organization
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly and concisely to management, shared service center and other employees
- Ability to work in a hybrid working model
