Job Title: Cost Controller
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Controller to join our team at Newell Brands in Malgrat de Mar, Spain. As a Cost Controller, you will be responsible for managing financial operations, monitoring costs, and ensuring adherence to financial procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse actual cost versus standard cost (materials, labour, energy, overheads)
- Track expenditures and identify areas where costs can be reduced or optimised
- Monitor spending through accounting systems and prepare month-end closing and plant reporting
- Supervise and control inventories of goods and materials and supervise accounting allocation of costs
- Prepare and manage financial budgeting and forecasting for the plant
- Collaborate with corporate finance teams to provide accurate and timely financial data
- Prepare insightful financial reports to enhance management's understanding of plant performance
Requirements:
- University degree in Finance, Economics or Business Administration
- Proven experience as a Plant Controller or Cost Controller in a manufacturing environment
- Fluent in Spanish and advanced English (written and spoken)
- Good command of MS Office, including advanced Excel skills
- Knowledge of SAP, PowerBI or similar software
