About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Urban Designer and Project Manager to join our team at BIG - Bjarke Ingels Group. As a key member of our urban planning and design team, you will be responsible for leading large-scale urban and master planning projects, managing project stakeholders, and providing technical guidance to team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Defend BIG's design intent throughout all phases of the project
  • Team and project coordination, including communication with clients and consultants
  • Production of contract documents and management of project stakeholders
  • Management and mentorship of team members, providing technical guidance and innovative solutions to complex technical and design challenges
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in large-scale urban and master planning projects, with management and leading experience (over 10 years)
  • Experience in design-lead and project-management roles, with excellent communication skills and English language proficiency
  • Strong client management and presentation skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Flexible and open attitude towards new ways of working, with experience in managing and coordinating project stakeholders, local authorities, and approving bodies
