Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Research Project Manager to join our Project Management Office (PMO) and report to the PMO coordinator. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing proposals and projects under the Directors' Department, particularly in Computational Social Sciences and Innovation and Business Development, Education and Training, and International Partnerships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Be the main point of contact for the Heads of Area of the Directors' Department and the PMO coordinator.
  • Maintain a strategic overview of the area's objectives and future opportunities.
  • Ensure relevant databases and control documents are complete and up to date for their area of responsibility.
  • Take the lead in recruitment processes for project managers, distribute work, define, follow-up, and evaluate objectives for the project manager(s) under their responsibility.
  • Plan the use of resources, monitor progress, anticipate problems, maintain communication with the Principal Investigator, and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Detect, communicate, and explore funding opportunities, maintaining a call calendar with department directors.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have excellent project management skills, with experience in managing research projects and teams. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks. A strong understanding of the research landscape and the ability to identify and pursue funding opportunities are also required.
