About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Construction Manager to join our team at John Wood Group. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction and commissioning of projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of construction projects, ensuring they meet the client's requirements and Wood's quality standards.
  • Field Operations: Manage and coordinate the activities of construction personnel, including supervisors, engineers, and contractors, to ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all construction activities are carried out in accordance with Wood's quality procedures and client requirements.
  • Cost Management: Monitor and control project costs, ensuring they are within budget and that any variances are reported and addressed promptly.
  • Client Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and that they are satisfied with the project delivery.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 10-15 years of post-qualification experience in a relevant industry, with a proven track record of managing construction projects.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team of construction personnel.
  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of construction management principles, practices, and procedures, including quality assurance and cost control.
