Job Title: Europe Bench Director Of Finance

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Finance for Europe to join our team at Marriott International. As a key member of our finance leadership team, you will be responsible for supporting the location hotel finance team on finance operations and assisting with task force assignments across Europe.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement property-wide strategies that deliver products and services to meet or exceed the needs and expectations of our target customer and property employees.
  • Provide financial expertise to enable the successful implementation of our brand service strategy and brand initiatives while maximizing return on investment.
  • Engage in strategic planning and decision-making, analyzing information, forecasting sales against expenses, and creating annual budget plans.
  • Compile information, analyze, and monitor actual sales against projected sales, identifying differences between actual budget wages and forecasted wages for more efficient budget planning.
  • Implement a system of appropriate controls to manage business risks and ensure a strong accounting and operational control environment to safeguard assets, improve operations, and profitability.
  • Lead finance teams, utilizing interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage others, advocating sound financial/business decision-making, and demonstrating honesty/integrity.

Requirements:

  • 4-year bachelor's degree in Finance and Accounting or related major, or Master's degree in Finance and Accounting or related major.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish or Italian or French.
  • Experience in the hotel industry as a Director of Finance, with flexibility to travel (90% of the time).
  • Positive attitude and easy to connect with the team.
