We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team at Alight Solutions. As a Payroll Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting the execution of payroll activities and data management/customer services, ensuring accurate and timely output.
Key Responsibilities- Process payroll end-to-end, ensuring delivery to agreed processing calendars and KPIs.
- Support statutory and year-end reporting, adhering to agreed calendars and KPIs.
- Utilize payroll expertise to advise on client queries/issues, ensuring a strong understanding of country-specific legislation and tasks.
- Support knowledge transfer and training of apprentices and associates on data management or customer service activities.
- Ensure tickets and calls are responded to within SLA timescales and to a high standard.
- Support system maintenance testing and liaise with third-party vendors.
- Complete SOC controls on time, with necessary evidence.
- Contribute to root cause analysis, ensuring accurate details and feasible preventative measures.
- Conduct knowledge transfer sessions, ensuring audience understanding and practical application.
- Maintain DWIs, ensuring processes are up-to-date and reflective of the service.
- Report system issues/defects correctly, logging tickets with necessary details and evidence.
- Highlight deviations from standard scope of service to the Service Manager.
- Recognize and handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
- Accurately complete time recording and adhere to Alight Security Standards.
- Contribute to team meetings, raising issues immediately to the Service Manager.
- Stay up-to-date with Alight announcements and communications.
- Build relationships with relevant lines of business.
- Update internal stakeholders, as needed, in a timely and accurate manner.
- Participate in projects and activities as assigned.
- Be accountable, taking personal responsibility and eagerness to acquire necessary skills.
- Solve problems proactively, identifying workplace challenges and proposing creative solutions.
- Take ownership, seeking clarity on role, objectives, and future career opportunities.
- Be client-centric, responding to internal and external client expectations and requirements.
- Be effective, demonstrating knowledge of the Alight Way, values, and levers for success.
- Utilize MS Office tools, such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

- Excellent Dutch written and verbal skills, with good English skills.
- Self-motivated and willing to learn.
- Ability to collaborate and work in a team environment, as well as independently.
- BA/BS in a business-related field, such as Accounting, Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in administering payroll or health and welfare/benefits in an HR consulting, HR outsourcing, or corporate environment.
- HRIS knowledge: Workday, SAP, or PeopleSoft knowledge preferred.
