Head of Production

Join Airbus Helicopters España as a key member of our team, responsible for leading the production process for our helicopters in Spain. As Head of Production, you will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient and high-quality production, meeting short-term milestones and preparing for mid- and long-term industrial transitions.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and oversee the entire assembly, testing, and flight process, ensuring compliance with industry and quality standards, health & safety protocols, and Airbus values.
- Manage a growing team of skilled foremen, assembly, and test technicians to achieve optimal efficiency and high-quality output.
- Develop and implement AOS and lean initiatives to optimize processes at the shopfloor and enhance productivity.
- Ensure the team is trained to the latest requirements, ready for ramp-up and upcoming new programs, with development plans and recognition provided.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure committed KPIs and align deliveries, priorities, and propose alternatives to manage unforeseen events.
- Strong experience of managing a diverse and multi-experienced team of assembly production engineers and operatives.
- Good, all-round understanding of hardware assembly and production, ideally with experience in AOS and Airbus Operations environment.
- Focus on production process improvement, with experience of implementing Kaizen principles or similar.
- Strong emphasis on Health & Safety within a manufacturing environment.
- Fluent in Spanish and English.
- Strong focus on company values and ensuring the long-term sustainability of the teams.
