Key Responsibilities- Lead and Oversee Production: Direct and manage a team of skilled foremen, assembly and test technicians to achieve optimal efficiency and high-quality output.
- Manage Team Growth: Hierarchically manage a growing team to achieve optimal efficiency and high-quality output, with a focus on developing junior members.
- Ramp Up and Transition: Manage the ramp-up across all Airbus Helicopters programmes, ensuring the right level of competences to counterbalance unexpected rate modifications.
- Supply Chain Management: Smart and agile reactivity towards delays from internal/external suppliers to minimize impacts on performance and the teams.
- Training and Development: Ensure the team is trained to the latest requirements, ready for the ramp-up and upcoming new programmes, with development plans and recognition provided.
- Process Improvement: Drive schedule, cost, quality, and safety adherence through effective planning, monitoring, and execution of assembly and test processes via SQCDP.
- AOS and Lean Initiatives: Implement AOS and lean initiatives to optimize processes at the shopfloor and enhance productivity, by promoting Kaizen principles.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure that safety procedures and practices outlined in company manuals and industry standards are adhered to by all production staff at all times.
- Reporting and Compliance: Ensure that statutory and other legal requirements in respect of mandatory reporting, hazard reporting, and accident/incident reporting are complied with.
- Facilities and Equipment: Responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, security, and correct usage of the company premises, plant, tools, and equipment, taking particular care relative to health and safety within the working environment.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing engineering, quality assurance, procurement, logistics, and project management, to ensure committed KPIs.
- Customer Interface: PoC for external and internal customers to align deliveries, priorities, and propose alternatives to manage unforeseen events.
- Relationship Building: Build productive relationships with internal stakeholders and employees on all levels, seeking long-term sustainability of the teams and operations.
- Future Planning: Prepare the future of the operations, including personal resources, infrastructures, training, and needs.
We seek a professional with profound experience in the Airbus Operations domain, in Lean/AOS deployment, in H&S requirements, and who strives for excellence. The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong Experience: Strong experience of managing a diverse and multi-experienced team of assembly production engineers and operatives.
- Technical Expertise: Good, all-round understanding of hardware assembly and production, ideally with experience in AOS and Airbus Operations environment.
- Process Improvement: A focus on production process improvement, with experience of implementing Kaizen principles or similar.
- Health and Safety: A strong emphasis on Health & Safety within a manufacturing environment.
- Language Skills: Fluent in Spanish and English.
- Company Values: Strong focus on the company values and on ensuring the long-term sustainability of the teams.
- Travel and Interaction: Availability to travel and able to interact and discuss at all levels in the company.
