About the Role
Adyen is seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Writer to join our Platform and Financial Services team in Madrid. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating high-quality technical documentation for our external developer and marketplace/merchant audience.
Key Responsibilities
- Write technical documentation for our API reference content, including detailed integration guides, code samples, and conceptual documentation.
- Deliver clear and concise documentation following our style guide and best practices in technical writing.
- Continuously evaluate our tech stack and processes for improvements, identifying opportunities to enhance our documentation and tools.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across Adyen, including developers, product managers, and other teams.
- Review, challenge, and copy edit the content created by non-writers, driving best practices in technical writing and documentation.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in technical/developer documentation, with a strong focus on API documentation.
- Extensive experience with docs-as-code (git, markdown) and strong data analysis skills to drive continuous improvements.
- Ability to write clear and concise documentation, including conceptual documentation, detailed integration guides, code samples, API reference, and other online materials.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders.
- Experience developing with programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, PHP, Ruby, or others is a plus.
- Previous fintech experience is preferred, but not required.
