About Our ClientOur client is a leading global mining company with advanced metallurgical products, serving diverse industries including energy, technology, healthcare, and aerospace. With 25 operating sites worldwide, they combine state-of-the-art technology, reliable raw materials, and exceptional customer service to deliver best-in-class quality and innovation.
Job OpportunityWe are seeking recently graduated Engineers to join their International Graduate Engineers Program. This 21-month program offers a unique opportunity to work within a global structure and gain comprehensive experience across various engineering fields within the company.
Program OverviewThe program consists of two years, with the first year divided into four phases:
- Home Base Onboarding (Local & Global MT Onboarding) (3 months)
- International Assignment (Relocation to South Africa, US, or Canada) (9 months)
- 1st Job Rotation
- Project Delivery to the MT
The second year includes continued international assignment, 1st job rotation, 2nd job rotation, and program graduation.
ResponsibilitiesIn this program, you will:
- Work closely with personnel at all levels to become a subject matter expert in departmental products and processes
- Install and maintain system BOM's & Routers for all products
- Support projects to develop new products and/or processes
- Participate in the APQP process, approving new products and processes
- Support modification of processes and products
- Plan and supervise statistical process control
- Work with peers and customers
- Engage in lean manufacturing activities
- Generate and execute continuous improvement projects
- Maintain documented standards systems
- Develop and conduct technical training
- Assume a leading role in process improvement and coordinate quality and cost-reduction efforts
To be eligible for this program, you must have:
- Bachelor's / Masters degree in engineering (mining, mechanical, electrical, metallurgical)
- Fluent English (French and Spanish is a plus)
- International mindset or eagerness to be a citizen of the world
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across varying departments
- Six sigma, lean manufacturing, or 5S training or experience is a plus
- Demonstrated experience with quality systems and process optimization is a plus
- A first successful experience in an industrial environment (internship, work-study, graduate program) is a plus
