Job Description:

Job Summary:

The Commercial & Bid Manager will be responsible for managing the bid process for Airbus Crisa, a leading organization in the design, development, and production of avionics equipment for space applications. This role will involve preparing and issuing responses to national and international invitations to bid, managing the bid team, and setting up the bid team organization during the proposal phase.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Bid Management: Prepare and issue responses to national and international invitations to bid, including the preparation of RFIs/RFPs and solicitation, assessment, and negotiation of subcontractors' proposals.
  • Bid Team Management: Manage the bid team and set up the bid team organization during the proposal phase, including schedule, resource planning, meetings, intermediate pink and red team reviews, RMC, share working area, and communication.
  • Negotiation and Clarification: Run clarification/discussions about technical and programmatic matters during the negotiation phase in continuous communication with the Campaign Manager.
  • Proposal Preparation: Responsible for the complete preparation of winning proposals and its contents, as well as presentation to approval authorities. Responsible for the definition of the overall structure of the proposal and the associated volume.
  • Cost Estimation and Management: Gather all costs estimation from different functions, challenge them if necessary, compute all costs, and prepare price templates (PSS, PAS for RMC…).
  • Contractual Matters: Act as a focal point and customer/subcontractor I/F in all contractual matters during the proposal phase and project phase.
  • Collaboration and Coordination: Coordinate with Technical Teams, Finance experts, Legal, Export, Offset to obtain the right expertise at the right time in the commercial bid and Cover Letter.
  • Pricing and Contract Negotiation: Support the Campaign Manager in pricing negotiation or lead pricing negotiation if the Campaign Manager is not assigned. Support Contracts Manager in contract negotiation.
  • Legislative and Best Practices: Maintain a satisfactory understanding of relevant legislation and best practices associated with contracting activities and contribute to the overall Airbus' objectives on improvement of efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Financial Objectives: Contribute to the overall financial objectives by proposing/negotiating satisfactory payment plans and supporting invoicing and cash targets.

Requirements:

  • Education: Post-graduate Master degree in business administration or Engineering is required.
  • Language: English and Spanish must be at negotiation level. French (negotiation level) would be appreciated.
  • Work Experience: Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience in bid management in an international environment with detailed understanding of commercial/financial implications and contractual negotiations.
  • Soft Skills: Capability to integrate and work in multidisciplinary team. Methodical and organized. Good Team spirit and business-orientation. Negotiation skills towards internal and external customers as well as excellent inter-personal, communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
