About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Technical Content Specialist to join our team at WebBeds. As a Technical Content Specialist, you will play a crucial role in defining organizational standards for documentation and developing comprehensive documentation that meets these standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define organizational standards for documentation and ensure consistency across all documentation.
  • Develop comprehensive documentation that meets organizational standards, including user manuals, guides, and other technical content.
  • Obtain a deep understanding of our products and services to translate complex product information into simple, polished, and engaging content.
  • Write user-friendly content that meets the needs of our target audience, turning insights into language that sets our users up for success.
  • Develop and maintain detailed databases of appropriate reference materials, including research, usability tests, and design specifications.
  • Research, outline, write, and edit new and existing content, working closely with various departments to understand project requirements.
  • Build relationships with the users of our products and adapt the level of documentation to suit their needs.
  • Work with development and support leads to identify all documentation repositories, revise and edit, and determine the best solution for data compilation and centralized storage.
  • Research, create, and maintain information architecture templates that uphold organizational and legal standards, and allow for easy data migration.
  • Develop content in alternative media forms for maximum usability, with a consistent and cohesive voice across all documentation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field.
  • 3 years+ industry experience as an effective technical writer.
