Job Title: Research Engineer Clinical LLMs

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Engineer to join our team at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC). The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing cutting-edge Natural Language Processing (NLP) technologies for clinical applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop annotation schemes for biomedical corpora
  • Develop and evaluate NLP models for multilingual information extraction in the clinical field
  • Coordinate technical contributions from partners in international projects
  • Document and report technical progress in English and Spanish
  • Collaborate in drafting research proposals and writing scientific papers
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Computational Linguistics or a related field
  • Demonstrated experience in NLP technologies and deep learning libraries (e.g. Pytorch, TensorFlow, Spacy, Transformers)
  • Advanced programming skills in Python
  • Fluency in English and proficiency in Spanish and other European languages
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
