Job Title: Sales Engineer - Minerals Industry
Division: Minerals
Location: Remote
Purpose of Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and solutions-focused Sales Engineer to support business development and the sale of Original Equipment, ensuring that customer requirements are met with precision and care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional technical support to customers.
- Analyse specifications and utilise simulation software to select the most suitable equipment for customer applications.
- Assist in the preparation of detailed and competitive Original Equipment quotations and bids.
- Oversee order fulfilment requirements to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
- Travel to key accounts to identify and develop new business opportunities.
- Support aftermarket sales through site visits and collaboration with other departments.
- Conduct engaging product presentations and training sessions to educate clients.
- Cultivate a deep understanding of The Weir Group's products and services.
- Represent The Weir Group at industry exhibitions and trade shows to showcase our offerings.
- Demonstrate unwavering commitment to our zero harm behaviors, contributing to the development of a world-class safety culture.
Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mining, Industrial, Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- Proven experience in the mining industry, particularly in customer-facing roles.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Willingness to travel extensively, up to 60% of the time.
