About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Renewal Operations to join our team at BOARD Deutschland GmbH in Madrid, Spain. This is a challenging and rewarding leadership position that requires a strong background in customer success, renewal operations, and team management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a High-Performing Team: Manage a team of 5 Renewal Managers to deliver exceptional results in renewal operations.
  • Develop and Implement Renewal Strategies: Design and execute comprehensive renewal plans to minimize churn, maximize contract renewals, and protect customer relationships.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with Sales, Customer Success, Legal, Finance, and other teams to ensure seamless execution of complex contract renewals.
  • Drive Business Growth: Meet and exceed customer renewal and retention targets, and contribute to the overall growth of the company.
  • Develop and Enhance Operational Cadences: Design and implement processes to drive long-term customer retention, provide insights into retention metrics, and improve Board renewal targets.
  • Ensure Global Renewal Initiatives: Communicate, align, implement, and measure global renewal initiatives and programs for bi-directional knowledge sharing.
  • Establish Effective Onboarding and Training: Develop and deliver training programs to ensure team members have the necessary skills and competencies to excel in their roles.
  • Meet and Exceed Financial Targets: Develop and implement strategies to meet and exceed financial targets, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow management.
Qualifications
  • 7+ Years of Customer Success Experience: Proven experience in customer success, renewal operations, and team management, with at least 3 years in leadership of a high-growth, customer-facing team within a SaaS company.
  • Team Management Experience: Manage a team of 5 people as a minimum, with a proven track record of developing and leading high-performing teams.
  • Strong Leadership and Communication Skills: Excellent leadership, mentoring, negotiation, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  • Experience with Software Development Tools: Experience with software development tools, practices, and methodologies, including ordering and contract management systems, tools, and processes.
  • Knowledge of Multi-Dimensional Planning Software: Knowledge and experience in multi-dimensional planning software, preferably Board but may also include Anaplan, One Stream, Pigment, IBM, SAP, etc.
  • Passion for Data Accuracy and Analytics: Passion for data accuracy, analytics, process optimization, and reporting, with the ability to identify systemic risk, issues, trends, and opportunities.
  • Ability to Deliver and Facilitate Knowledge Transfer: Ability to deliver and facilitate knowledge transfer, both in-person and virtually, across a globally diverse team.
  • Fluent in English: Fluent in English, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and stakeholders.
