About the Role

  • We are seeking a skilled Lighting Designer to join our team at XAL GmbH, a leading international company specializing in technical lighting solutions.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical lighting design, electrical engineering, or a related field, with extensive experience in bespoke design, quality measures, and project coordination.
  • As a Lighting Designer, you will work independently on multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  • You will collaborate with our tech-team on international projects, working closely with colleagues and supporting the team as needed.
  • Key responsibilities include creating rough concepts, detailed plans, and visualizations, drawing up lighting plans in AutoCAD, and preparing technical schedules of luminaires.
  • You will also attend meetings, visit sites, and handle technical enquiries from specifiers and installers.
  • Additionally, you will design Moodboards & Storyboards and handle product-related enquiries from our clients.

About You

  • To be successful in this role, you will have a degree in technical lighting design, electrical engineering, or a related field, and extensive working experience as a Lighting Designer.
  • You will have good knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, AutoCAD, and Relux/Dialux Evo, as well as a passion for lighting, architecture, and design.
  • Excellent communication skills, a good command of English, and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines are essential.
  • You will be self-motivated, dependable, and happy to work in a team environment.
