About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Lighting Designer to join our team at XAL GmbH. As a Lighting Designer, you will be responsible for creating bespoke lighting solutions for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop lighting plans for various projects, ensuring quality measures and general lighting standards are met.
- Work independently on multiple projects simultaneously, meeting tight deadlines and collaborating with colleagues as needed.
- Develop rough concepts, detailed plans, and visualizations for lighting designs.
- Draw up lighting plans in AutoCAD and prepare technical schedules of luminaires.
- Attend meetings and site visits as necessary to ensure project success.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, specifiers, and installers to ensure seamless project execution.
- Design moodboards and storyboards to visualize lighting concepts.
- Handle product-related enquiries from clients and provide technical support.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree in technical lighting design, electrical engineering, or a related field.
- Extensive experience as a Lighting Designer, with a strong portfolio of work.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, AutoCAD, and Relux/Dialux Evo.
- A passion for lighting, architecture, and design.
- Excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Self-motivation, dependability, and a team-oriented approach.
