Our Research Programmes
We have a broad portfolio of research programmes, including Climate, Air Pollution, Nature and Urban Health; Environment and Health over the Lifecourse; Global Viral and Bacterial Infections; Malaria and Neglected Parasitic Diseases, and Maternal, Child and Reproductive Health. Our research is organized around five key areas:
- Climate and Air Pollution: We investigate the impact of climate change and air pollution on human health, with a focus on vulnerable populations.
- Environment and Health over the Lifecourse: Our research explores the causes and mechanisms of non-communicable diseases, from local to global levels.
- Global Viral and Bacterial Infections: We work to understand and control the spread of infectious diseases, with a focus on high- and low-income countries.
- Malaria and Neglected Parasitic Diseases: Our research aims to eliminate malaria and other neglected diseases, with a focus on developing effective treatments and prevention strategies.
- Maternal, Child and Reproductive Health: We investigate the determinants of maternal and child health, with a focus on improving health outcomes in vulnerable populations.
About the Position
We are seeking a dynamic researcher with experience in non-communicable disease epidemiology to join our team as a Tenure-Track Assistant Research Professor. The successful candidate will develop a research group within our Environment and Health over the Lifecourse Programme, focusing on the causes and mechanisms of non-communicable diseases in high- and low-income countries. The researcher will be expected to develop high-quality research to inform, improve, and promote interventions and policies for the prevention of non-communicable diseases.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a research group within the Environment and Health over the Lifecourse Programme
- Conduct high-quality research on the causes and mechanisms of non-communicable diseases
- Develop and implement effective interventions and policies for the prevention of non-communicable diseases
- Collaborate with international partners to advance global public health
Requirements
- PhD in epidemiology or a related field
- Experience in non-communicable disease epidemiology
- Excellent research and leadership skills
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
