Our research portfolio encompasses a broad range of topics, including environmental, lifestyle, and climate determinants of non-communicable diseases. We employ a multidisciplinary approach, from molecular to population-level research, to advance knowledge and inform policy.
Research ProgrammesOur research is organized into five programmes:
- Climate, Air Pollution, Nature and Urban Health
- Environment and Health over the Lifecourse
- Global Viral and Bacterial Infections
- Malaria and Neglected Parasitic Diseases
- Maternal, Child and Reproductive Health
We are seeking a dynamic researcher to join our team as a tenure-track assistant research professor in non-communicable disease epidemiology. The successful candidate will develop a research group within the Environment and Health over the Lifecourse Programme.
The researcher will be expected to:
- Conduct high-quality research to expand knowledge on the causes and mechanisms of non-communicable diseases
- Develop a research group with a focus on environmental risk factors and their impact on non-communicable diseases
- Collaborate with researchers across ISGlobal programmes to advance knowledge and inform policy
- Publish scholarly work in top-tier journals
- Obtain grant funding to support research
- Teach at the masters and doctorate level
- Participate in advancing the strategic goals of ISGlobal in policy translation and innovation
To be considered for this position, candidates must have:
- A PhD in a relevant field
- At least 5 years of accredited postdoctoral experience
- A record of peer-reviewed publications
- Potential for obtaining external research funding
- Experience in training early career researchers (an asset)
