We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced researcher to join our team as a Tenure-Track Assistant Research Professor in Non-Communicable Disease Epidemiology and Prevention. The successful candidate will be part of our Environment and Health over the Lifecourse Programme at the Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal).
Key Responsibilities- Develop a research group within the Environment and Health over the Lifecourse Programme at ISGlobal, focusing on non-communicable disease epidemiology and prevention.
- Collaborate with researchers across ISGlobal programmes to advance knowledge on the causes and mechanisms of non-communicable diseases.
- Publish scholarly work in top-tier journals and secure external research funding to support research initiatives.
- Teach at the masters and doctorate level, mentoring early career researchers and contributing to the development of the next generation of researchers.
- Participate in advancing the strategic goals of ISGlobal in policy translation and innovation, ensuring that research findings inform and improve interventions and policies for non-communicable disease prevention.
- PhD in a relevant field, such as epidemiology, public health, or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of postdoctoral experience in non-communicable disease epidemiology and prevention, with a strong track record of peer-reviewed publications and research funding.
- Demonstrated potential for leadership and intellectual leadership in the field of non-communicable disease epidemiology and prevention.
- Experience in training early career researchers and mentoring junior colleagues.
