R&D Test Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled R&D Test Engineer to join our Technology department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for testing our technical solutions and ensuring their quality.

You will work closely with different teams to deliver high-quality mechatronic products. Your tasks will include developing test plans, implementing them on actual systems, and analyzing test results to identify improvements and root causes.

You will also be responsible for identifying and mitigating technical risks, documenting risks, problems, progress, and status of test execution. Additionally, you will support mechanical, hardware, and system design, OT software development, integration of components, and system verification.

As a team player, you will support your colleagues in their developments and have a continuous improvement focus and attitude. You will have knowledge and affinity with (system) testing, test plans, and risk analyses.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Develop input for test plans based on product criteria, client application, and applicable requirements.
  • Implement test plans on actual systems and analyze test results to identify improvements and root causes.
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks and document risks, problems, progress, and status of test execution.
  • Support mechanical, hardware, and system design, OT software development, integration of components, and system verification.
  • Support and execute component and system testing.

Your Qualifications and Skills:
  • Industrial degree or Higher Technical Grade.
  • Smart self-starter with a hands-on, flexible mindset and a pro-active spirit.
  • Team player with a continuous improvement focus and attitude.
  • Knowledge and affinity with (system) testing, test plans, and risk analyses.
  • Familiarity with TIA Portal at an intermediate level.
  • Interpretation of electrical diagrams.
  • Able to speak and document in the English language.

Valued Qualifications and Skills:
  • Knowledge in solving methods like 8D, PDCA, Six Sigma.
  • Certificates or willingness to learn in ISTQB or TMAP.
