Job Summary:

CBRE Investment Accounting & Reporting Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day fund level accounting, consolidation, and financial reporting functions for Luxembourg real estate funds.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and other accounting statements.
  2. Reporting and Compliance: Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, including VAT packages and CIT/MBT/NWT/WHT returns in cooperation with external tax advisors.
  3. Covenant Management: Prepare and coordinate quarterly covenant management, including financial input for quarterly Board meetings.
  4. Financial Analysis: Perform bank reconciliations, daily cash management, and bi-weekly cash flow forecasts.
  5. General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain a complete and accurate general ledger, aggregating financial data on a portfolio level.
  6. Audit and Compliance: Coordinate the independent audit, prepare files for audit and SOC requirements, and answer any outstanding questions.
  7. Financial Reporting: Prepare financial and management reports for clients/investors and other interested parties.
  8. Contract Review: Read and interpret contracts, legal documents, and other agreements.
  9. Transaction Recording: Ability to record complex business transactions in the general ledger.
  10. Reporting Process Coordination: Coordinate the reporting process across various functions, funds, and geographies to ensure timely and well-organized completion of the reporting process.
  11. Regulatory Reporting: Periodic report to the regulator (CSSF / DNB / AIFMD).
  12. Investor Management: Coordinate and execute investors' capital contributions, redemptions, and distributions.
  13. Ad Hoc Projects: Assistance to ad hoc project and Group initiatives.

Requirements:

  1. Education: Graduated from higher vocational training (Bachelor) or university (Master) specializing in finance, such as business economics or accountancy, preferred CPA/ACCA/CA or equivalent.
  2. Experience: Experience with preparation of periodic and annual financial reports and annual audit processes.
  3. Consolidation and Tax: Practical experience with consolidation and tax returns, in particular VAT and income tax (preferable Luxembourg VAT and CIT/MBT/NWT).
  4. Laws and Regulations: Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, such as IFRS and Lux Gaap.
  5. Certifications: Certified Accountant qualifications in relevant jurisdictions.
  6. Language: Fluent in English, both verbal and in writing (knowledge of any other language can be an advantage).
  7. Financial Knowledge: Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), IFRS, INREV.
  8. Forecasting: Able to forecast and prepare budgets.
