About the Role

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer to join our Identity and Access Management team at Oracle. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our Oracle Cloud services and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • **Service Ownership:** You will be part of a team that owns a collection of services and/or technology areas, working closely with development partners to ensure seamless integration and delivery.
  • **Service Design:** You will partner with development teams to define and implement improvements in service architecture, both current and future, to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • **Operations Engineering:** You will understand and communicate the scale, capacity, security, and performance attributes and requirements of the services you own, ensuring optimal resource utilization and efficiency.
  • **Automation:** You will have a clear understanding of automation and orchestration principles, and will be eager to automate wherever and whenever possible, while eliminating technical debt.
  • **Prevention:** You will work on preventing issues from occurring in the first place, by identifying and addressing potential problems before they become critical.
  • **Technical Expertise:** As a service owner, you will be the ultimate partner concern point for complex or critical issues that have not yet been documented as SOPs for Level 1 staff.
Requirements
  • **Technical Expertise:** You will have a strong background in systems administration, development, and infrastructure engineering, with a deep understanding of cloud computing and Oracle Cloud services.
  • **Communication Skills:** You will be an excellent communicator, able to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, operations, and management.
  • **Problem-Solving Skills:** You will have strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.
