About the Role

Cabify is seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer III to join our team. As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evolving our infrastructure platform to build self-service components that will be used by all engineering teams and millions of users worldwide.
  • Working closely with Product and Infrastructure teams to architect and develop world-class infrastructure components.
  • Designing and implementing tooling to improve the availability, scalability, observability, and latency of our services.
  • Increasing reliability awareness with other teams, helping with the adoption of reliability principles, and reviewing observability implementations or software architectures.
  • Defining SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs as part of the services' lifecycle.
  • Sharing an on-call schedule for the platform services you own.
  • Solving problems in our highly available platform together with other teams and building automations to prevent incidents from happening again.
  • Participating in our recruiting process to help grow our engineering team.
Requirements
  • Strong programming skills in at least one language and knowledge of a few more or ability to learn them.
  • Experience with Unix, networking stack, OSI model, containers, schedulers, monitoring, logging, and the CAP theorem.
  • Ability to automate tasks and make machines do the toil.
  • Effective communication and asynchronous communication skills.
  • Care about the company, team, and personal well-being.
  • Embracing diversity and humbleness.
  • Prefer taking iterative action over waiting for things to happen or to be perfect.
  • Strongly favor simplicity over complexity.
