Financial Analyst Job Description

Sulzer is a leading engineering company with a proud heritage of innovation. We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our global team and contribute to the growth of our company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Controlling team by delivering comprehensive, complete, and timely financial information for business management and decision-making.
  • Perform month-end closing activities, including proper analysis of actuals vs. budget and prior month forecast.
  • Prepare and deliver trainings to legal entities worldwide on reporting and consolidation system matters.
  • Contribute to the monthly preparation of the MIS presentation.
  • Perform various ad-hoc reporting requests to ease division financials understanding.
  • Actively support Budgeting and Forecasting processes.
  • Identify and coordinate continuous improvement initiatives for the controlling function, with a special focus on NWC and cash.
  • Drive automatization of reports (QlikSense, Sharepoint) and process optimizations.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Accounting, Finance, or Controlling.
  • At least 3-4 years of experience in financial analysis or controlling, preferably in corporate finance.
  • Advanced financial modelling skills (Excel) and strong knowledge of PowerPoint.
  • Experienced user of management reporting consolidation system CCH Tagetik (preferred) or any other management reporting system.
  • Experience with SAP (FI/CO modules) and business application tools.
  • Analytically strong person with high energy to drive for results.
  • Strong problem-solving and ability to prioritize responsibilities, tasks, and processes.
  • Flexible and adaptive team player with a positive attitude.
  • Fluency in English.
