About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Programme Manager to join our Amazon Rail team. As a key member of our logistics and transportation team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing efficient, cost-effective, and sustainable rail movements between Amazon's fulfillment and transportation hubs.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement innovative solutions using data and research to address wider challenges in the organization
  2. Work closely with senior leadership to establish and prioritize improvement programmes, seeing them through from start to finish
  3. Oversee complex, cross-functional programmes with internal and external stakeholders
  4. Own Amazon Rail's North Star and its development cycles
  5. Engage with Rail partners to drive Amazon's sustainability goals
  6. Leverage large data and performance metrics to drive business results
  7. Lead business reviews with Amazon leadership and senior-level Rail executives
  8. Partner with finance, legal, and network teams to shape future growth plans and guide Rail and land-side partners through new launches and other special projects

As a Senior Programme Manager at Amazon, you will lead transformative, data-driven initiatives that drive strategic improvements across the organization. You will define and execute efficient plans to address complex challenges with creativity and innovation. Your responsibilities will extend beyond process optimizations, as you will also contribute to enhancing diversity, equity, and inclusion.

About the Team

Amazon's rail operations play a critical role in supporting the company's growing retail and logistics footprint. Our team is responsible for planning and executing efficient, cost-effective, and sustainable rail movements between Amazon's fulfillment and transportation hubs.

Minimum Qualifications
  1. A degree
  2. Experience defining programme requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
  3. Experience managing, analyzing, and communicating results to senior leadership
  4. Experience owning programme strategy and end-to-end delivery
  5. Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization
  6. Experience in programme or project management
  7. Experience delivering cross-functional projects
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Advanced degree
  2. Proficiency in SQL
  3. Relevant experience in Rail
  4. Experience managing teams
