About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sales Manager Intermodal to join our team at VTG Rail Europe GmbH. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and expanding our customer base in the intermodal transport sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to identify and pursue new business opportunities in the intermodal transport sector.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers, providing tailored solutions to meet their needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive product development and sales initiatives.
  • Represent the company at trade fairs and events, showcasing our expertise and building brand awareness.
  • Manage and optimize our CRM tool to ensure seamless customer interactions and data-driven decision making.
Requirements
  • Completed commercial training, ideally supplemented by a degree in business administration or economics.
  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in the logistics and railway industry.
  • Excellent customer orientation, sales affinity, and persuasiveness skills.
  • Basic knowledge of intermodal logistics and intermodal flows of semi-trailers, containers, and swap bodies.
  • Strong analytical and strategic skills, with the ability to work independently and think entrepreneurially.
  • Proficiency in Spanish and English, with excellent presentation, moderation, and communication skills.
  • Experience working with CRM systems and a willingness to travel regularly within Spain and Portugal.
