Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Programme Manager to lead the development of our intermodal rail network. As a key member of our Amazon Transportation team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing efficient, cost-effective, and sustainable rail movements between our fulfillment and transportation hubs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Implement Programme Strategy: Define and execute programme requirements using data and metrics to drive strategic improvements across the organization.
- Lead Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with senior leadership, finance, legal, and network teams to shape future growth plans and guide rail and land-side partners through new launches and other special projects.
- Drive Operational Excellence: Leverage large data and performance metrics to drive business results, and lead business reviews with Amazon leadership and senior-level rail executives.
- Engage with Stakeholders: Partner with rail partners to drive Amazon's sustainability goals, and engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure programme success.
- Manage Programme Delivery: Oversee complex, cross-functional programmes with internal and external stakeholders, and own Amazon Rail's North Star and its development cycles.
About the Team:
Our Amazon Transportation team is responsible for planning and executing efficient, cost-effective, and sustainable rail movements between our fulfillment and transportation hubs. As a Senior Programme Manager, you will be a key member of this team, working closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to drive programme success.
Requirements:
- Advanced Degree: A degree in a relevant field, such as business, logistics, or transportation.
- Experience: Experience defining programme requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements, managing, analyzing, and communicating results to senior leadership, owning programme strategy and end-to-end delivery, implementing repeatable processes, and driving automation or standardization.
- Skills: Proficiency in SQL, relevant experience in rail, and experience managing teams.
