Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Release Manager to lead our Release Management team and drive the growth and evolution of Developer Productivity Engineering at Openbravo, a subsidiary of Orisha.
About the Role
As a Senior Release Manager, you will be responsible for leading the team's organizational tasks, defining and prioritizing the team's backlog, and managing the product release process. You will also provide a satisfying developer experience by optimizing development processes, tools, practices, and automation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Release Management team and drive the growth and evolution of Developer Productivity Engineering.
- Define and prioritize the team's backlog, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Manage the product release process, ensuring timely and successful delivery of software products and updates.
- Provide a satisfying developer experience by optimizing development processes, tools, practices, and automation.
- Manage Jenkins CI system, GitLab hosting, and issue tracker used for product development.
- Manage internal production and testing servers, ensuring high availability and performance.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or Telecommunications.
- At least 1 year of experience in a team lead position.
- 5+ years of experience in release management and/or managing CI systems (preferably Jenkins).
- 5+ years of experience in Linux System Administration (Ubuntu Linux or similar).
- Experience with PostgreSQL, Tomcat, Apache2.
- Experience with scripting (bash, python) is a plus.
- Experience with Ansible is a plus.
- Experience managing GitLab is a plus.
- Experience with AWS Cloud is a plus.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
- Analytical thinking, detail-oriented, initiative, flexibility, and adaptability.
